Changes in Alcohol Limits and Guidance

* Men and women should drink no more than 14 units per week.
* This should be spread evenly over three days or more, with alcohol free days. Do not save up your units and ‘binge’
* There is no ‘safe’ amount of alcohol when a woman is pregnant, so best advice is not to drink.
* There is a risk of harm when drinking alcohol around cancers and liver disease.
There is no benefits from ‘Red Wine’, the limited benefit is for females aged 55 years.
